They call me Shots Fired.

I'm a producer from San Jose, California.

That's the 10th largest city in the United States.

I've been making beats and producing music for over 10 years.
First I started off as a rapper. I went by the name Mike Sypha.
I started out freestyling and battle rapping when I was in high school.

When I was 20 I joined the Navy and kept rapping with other guys in the military.
I got out of the Navy when I was 24, but 2 weeks later my younger brother died.
That was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I kept making music.

From that point on I focused on being the best rapper I could.

I channeled my thoughts and feelings into my songs.

I dedicated my life to my music.

I slowly taught myself how to make my own beats.

I recorded, mixed & mastered my own songs and albums.
I would go sell them wherever I went in the streets of San Jo.

But the sound quality wasn't at the level I wanted it to be...
So I used my G.I. Bill to go to school for digital audio technology.

I learned music theory and how to make better beats.

I learned the proper techniques of mixing and mastering.
I also learned how to record vocals and instruments correctly.

It took years of hard work, discipline, and practice...

But eventually I got pretty good at producing my own music...

So I opened my home studio to other local artists.

That's when I really started taking the music business seriously.

I would charge my clients for studio time.
I would make beats for them, record mix & master their tracks.
Plus shoot music videos and make graphics for them.

I also did this for me & my rap group Slick N Smooth.
We did live shows opening for Jacka, Husalah, Andre Nickatina.

We printed, pressed and distributed our own albums.

But I had a falling out with one of the group members.

He did some shady shit that I ain't gonna speak about...

So we decided to go our separate ways.

I took a break from music for a few years and built up my gun collection.
I even became a certified firearms instructor.
That's one of the reasons people call me Shots Fired.

In May of 2019 I decided to get back into the music business,
so I created my instagram page @shotsfiredbeats

and focused on selling beats online.

Fast forward to today and business is really starting to pick up.
My years of hard work and dedication are finally paying off.

It feels great to be able to make money doing what I love to do.

I love rap music.
I love making beats.
And I love helping others achieve their goals.

I started off as a rapper so I know from experience how hard it is.

That's why I give out free beats.

That's also why my prices are so low.

Never stop chasing your dreams.

Now tap in and let's make some hits!
